Well, to be frank, today wasn’t much of a “preparation day.” I ate pretty well, a small bowl of cereal (8 grain Synergy and Rice Milk) and two Kashi waffles for breakfast, a cliff nectar bar for a snack, and two vegan masala patties + a big plate of Trader Joe’s Biyrani for lunch (all Vegan). I ended up taking an extended nap after work, and for dinner had Trader Joes Chicken Gorgonzola along with some of the amazing Alexia Oven Reds, which are truly incredible and only $2 per bag at Mother’s Market at the moment. So my day wasn’t too bad, but then I blew it up a bit with some Snickerdoodle Cookies from Trader’s. I am trying to blow through some of the food Sarah and I have purchased lately to essentially make space for the stuff I need for the P90X nutrition component. I ended up watching the Eastern Conference Finals Game 1 and hung out with Maxwell some. So no running today and frankly, right now all I want to do is read and hit the sack. I have a load of work to get done tomorrow for some projects I’m still handling for my old job and finalizing some things for school. Pretty sure I will get up early tomorrow and run. I’m also going to start taking Psyllium Husk to get my body, uh, you know cleansed, prior to getting going.
I had one of my better days at work in a long time today, and one of our full-timers (the guys with the flowered shirts), Charles, told me he would start P90X with me on Monday. I am going to get a lot of support at home from Sarah, but with Charles also doing it, it’ll give me that uh, “dude-encouragement” that I’d probably be lacking otherwise, and it’ll push me through the 90 days that much more. There has been a lot of scattered talk at work with other guys saying they want to do it, but I am glad to be the one stepping up to grab on and get it going. I’m still extremely excited.
